What is a Legal Nurse Consultant?

A Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC) is a highly-trained and experienced Registered Nurse who assists medical malpractice and personal injury attorneys, insurance carriers, and hospital risk managers in analysis and development of health care liability claims. 

In the course of their work, LNC’s may be called upon to review and analyze complex medical records in order to prepare confidential work products that are later used by the client for purposes of litigation.
